Plan Your Visit to Halifax

Canada Pride 2027 takes place in Halifax, Nova Scotia from July 15–25, 2027, alongside the Halifax Pride Festival.

Whether you're joining us from across Canada or around the world, Halifax is easy to reach, easy to explore, and the perfect place to spend a summer Pride vacation.

Getting Here

By Air

Most visitors will arrive through Halifax Stanfield International Airport, Atlantic Canada's largest airport. The airport offers direct flights to destinations across Canada, the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean, with service from airlines including Air Canada, Porter, WestJet, United, and others.

Halifax is one of the closest North American gateways to Europe, with direct seasonal service to cities including London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, and more.

Airport to Downtown

Downtown Halifax is approximately 30–40 minutes from the airport.

Options include:

  • Airport taxis, rideshare services, and shuttles

  • Halifax Transit Route 320 Airport Express bus

  • Car rentals available at the airport

The Airport Express bus connects the airport with Downtown Halifax and Downtown Dartmouth.

Where to Stay

Most Canada Pride programming will take place in Downtown Halifax and on the Halifax Waterfront, making the downtown core the most convenient place to stay.

Official Host Hotels

Official Canada Pride 2027 hotel partners will be announced in late 2026. These properties will offer preferred rates, exclusive packages, and easy access to festival venues.

Other Accommodation Options

Visitors can also choose from:

  • Full-service hotels

  • Boutique properties

  • University residences (subject to availability)

  • Vacation rentals

  • Budget-friendly accommodations

We recommend booking early. July is one of Halifax's busiest tourism months, and accommodations will fill quickly.

Explore Halifax

Halifax combines the energy of a capital city with the charm of a coastal community. Visitors can explore:

  • The Halifax Waterfront

  • Historic neighbourhoods and public gardens

  • Beaches and coastal communities

  • Fresh Atlantic seafood and local cuisine

  • Museums, galleries, and cultural attractions

  • Day trips to iconic destinations like Peggy's Cove and the South Shore

Whether you're staying for a weekend or making a longer Atlantic Canada vacation out of your trip, there's plenty to experience beyond the festival itself.
